The John Lewis JLWM1407 washing machine has a 1400 rpm spin speed, which reduces drying times and keeps fabric creasing to a minimum.

It is also rated "A" for energy consumption and washes a very large 7kg load while being economical on water, detergent and energy.

Its large porthole also makes loading and unloading simple.

The "Aqualift" wash system used on the JLWM1407 brings water to the top of the tub and distributes it evenly for an optimum wash.

There are 21 wash programmes including a gentle option for wools, rinse hold, stain and intensive options, and a quick 30 minute programme for when you need that outfit tonight! The total wash time for 7kg of cottons washed at 60degC is 150mins.

Select the most useful programme combination for an optimal wash via push button and centre dial controls.

The JLWM1407 also features an easy read LED display shows time remaining and you can delay the start for up to 19 hours, allowing you to take advantage of off peak electricity.

Dispose or recycle your old appliances

As per the new WEEE legislation, electronic goods have to be disposed of by specialist contractors. Many retailers offer a service to pick up large appliances and electrical items on a like for like basis,i.e. buy a new television and they will pick up your old one on delivery.
